Lenkräder von Drittherstellern
Simucube, Simagic, VRS-DD und Co
Für die gängigen Direct-Drive-Systeme von zum Beispiel Simucube, Simagic und VRS, aber auch handelsübliche Hardware von Thrustmaster oder Logitech können die Lenkräder der Dritthersteller direkt oder mit Hilfe von Adaptern montiert werden. Der Anschluss an den PC erfolgt dann in der Regel über einen USB-Anschluss, vereinzelt gibt es aber auch kabellose Lösungen, wie beispielsweise von Simucube.
Fanatec
Möchte man ein Lenkrad eines Drittherstellers an einer Fanatec-Base betreiben, muss man für Force-Feedback-Effekte eine offizielle Lösung von Fanatec oder die eines Drittanbieters verwenden. Aktuell gibt es drei verschiedene Hubs. Für die Verwendung mit einem eigenständigen Lenkrad ist der Podium-Hub am besten geeignet.
Übersicht der Lenkrad-Hersteller
Ascher Racing
Die von Martin Scher gegründete Firma Ascher Racing ist eine der wohl bekanntesten Namen für Lenkräder von Drittanbietern. Seit Jahren setzt sie auf hochwertige Materialien, zeichnet sich durch einen guten Support aus und ist für seine schlichten Lenkräder bekannt. Mittlerweile von der KW automotive GmbH betrieben finden sich aktuell zwei verschiedene Lenkräder im Sortiment: Das Ascher Racing F28 V2 ab 749€ ist kompatibel mit den Wheelbases von Simucube, während das Ascher Racing F64 V3 (ab 1.099€) sowohl in einer Variante mit einem USB-Anschluss als auch in einer kabellosen Simucube-Ausführung angeboten wird. Komplettiert wird das Angebot mit zwei Button Plates (B16M USB, B24L SC / B24M SC), welche jeweils ab 549€ zu haben sind.
Cube Controls
Auch der italienische Hersteller Cube Controls ist mittlerweile einer der größten Anbieter auf dem Simracing-Markt. Der lang anhaltende Erfolg hat sich mittlerweile auch bis in den realen Motorsport weitergetragen, so setzt Mercedes in ihrem aktuellen GT2-Boliden auf ein Lenkrad, welches in Zusammenarbeit mit Cube Controls hergestellt wird.
Die Produktpalette umfasst derzeit neben den beiden GT-Lenkrädern (GT Sport, GT Pro), welche ab 565€ exklusive Steuer verfügbar sind auch drei Formel-Lenkräder unterschiedlicher Preisklassen:

The embedded controller was created to be ultra responsive for all the button functions and paddle shifts.
