About Simracing PC
Simracing-PC was founded in early 2020 by me, Max Gripp. I have been involved in sim racing since the late 1990s, starting with Gran Turismo and Colin McRae Rally on PlayStation. My first serious experiences came with GTR 2 on the PC and the Logitech Driving Force EX Wheel. This was followed by constant hardware upgrades, for example with the Logitech G27, the Thrustmaster T300 and the legendary Fanatec CSW Base. Since then, I have mainly been publishing the following on Simracing-PC:
- Reviews on the latest sim racing hardware
- News about the sim racing scene,
- DIY projects related to 3D printing and SimHub.
Sim Racing Experience
As already mentioned, I took my first steps in sim racing with the PlayStation and a controller. After a detour via the PlayStation 2 with titles such as Gran Turismo 4 and Grand Prix Challenge, I finally made the switch to PC. Since then, I have been playing and simulating all kinds of sim racing titles. I was particularly captivated by the Assetto Corsa series, especially the first part. In total, I have clocked up well over 5,000 hours of gameplay. However, my eSports ambitions came to an end with the almost weekly hardware changes (a welcome excuse), and I was unable to achieve more than a few minor successes.

Reviews
Hardware testing has become arguably the most important part of Simacing-PC. Over the past few years, more than 50 different steering wheels, 30 wheel bases and 20 pedal sets have been tested. The spectrum ranges from entry-level hardware to absolute high-end hardware in the four-figure price range. You can find some information about this here.
- Temporal context: Reviews should always be considered in their temporal context. For example, while classics such as the G27 or the T300 Base were absolute recommendations in their day, there are significantly better recommendations available today. The situation is similar with steering wheels, which are constantly evolving.
- No influence: The same main principle always applies to all reviews. Even if manufacturers provide hardware temporarily or permanently for testing, they have no influence on the content of the review or a fixed publication date.
- No payment: As a further basic principle, there are no reviews on this website in exchange for direct payment. If affiliate links are used, they are clearly marked as such.
- Opportunity for improvement: If manufacturers make improvements to their products after a test has been published, e.g., through firmware updates, hardware revisions, or accessory additions, test reports can be updated retrospectively. This is done transparently and is clearly marked in the article (e.g., with an “update” section).
- Further information: Tests combine measurable, objective data (e.g., torque in Nm, latency in ms, noise level in dB(A)) with subjective impressions (e.g., feel, immersion, intuitiveness of the software). We always try to be as objective as possible, but there may be aspects where opinions differ widely. In such cases, we recommend that you also look at reviews from other creators. When comparing hardware, we refrain from making disparaging remarks and focus on fact-based differences.
Affiliate Programmes and Advertising
Apart from individual advertising banners and a pop-up (once every 60 days), you will not find hardly any other advertising on this website at present. This is primarily to ensure a good user experience. For products whose manufacturers offer affiliate programmes, a corresponding link is usually provided. Simracing-PC usually receives a small commission when a purchase is made via an affiliate link or when a Simracing-PC voucher code is used. This does not incur any additional costs for the user.
