PXN at Gamescom 2026: Full Throttle Towards High-End

With the launch of its first direct-drive bases and the GT-One steering wheel, PXN has managed to break out of the entry-level segment of sim racing. With the steering wheels and wheel bases now unveiled at Gamescom 2026, the manufacturer is taking things a step further and is slowly but surely attempting to break into the high-end market. Once again this year, Simracing-PC was on site to report on the event, including on behalf of PXN.

New Formula Wheels with screens

The two new steering wheels with screens were the highlight for visitors to the PXN booth. Thanks to their screens, they clearly stand out from previous models. The two Formula Wheels were unveiled as prototypes, and visitors were able to get their hands on them for the first time.

W FS FORMULA WHEEL

The W FS FORMULA WHEEL is the entry-level model and, according to PXN, will be available at an extremely attractive price (the release date and final price have not yet been confirmed). Crucially, it will be fully SimHub-compatible, and both the 4.3-inch screen and the various LEDs will be fully customisable. The steering wheel incorporates certain design elements from the popular GT One Wheel and builds on them in a practical way, for example with two additional levers on the back. Its low price, in particular, could make it extremely attractive to many sim racers.

W FC FORMULA WHEEL

The high-end model in the range is set to be the W FC FORMULA WHEEL, which was showcased at the event as a prototype made from alternative materials. The final version is set to feature a full-carbon front section, as well as titanium screws, as seen in the car tuning scene, and other components. Another striking design feature are the unusually shaped encoders, which immediately catch the eye. Overall, the choice of materials is likely to make this steering wheel significantly more expensive than the W FS FORMULA WHEEL and represent a challenge from PXN to other high-end steering wheels. A magnetically attached USB cable is also set to contribute to this.

PXN S Series DD Wheel bases

Alongside the two new steering wheels, visitors were also able to catch a first glimpse of the upcoming S SERIES DD range, which is set to consist of two wheelbases offering 15 and 23 Newton-metres respectively. In terms of torque, this places it significantly above the VD-series, which offers a maximum of 10 Newton-metres. In addition, similar to Fanatec’s Podium Bases, an information display has been fitted to the front, along with customisable straps on the top and LEDs.
