This time, we can look forward to a Pedal Haptic Feedback Kit as an accessory. It is designed to bridge the gap between the Active Pedal and standard pedals without a vibration function.

Scope of Delivery
The Haptic Feedback Kit comes with all the necessary components and can be used directly with a MOZA pedal set or as a standalone device. It includes the relevant cables, screws, mounting materials and the necessary tools.

Controller-Box and Vibration Module
The two key components of the set are, of course, the controller box and the vibration module itself. As is customary with other MOZA products, the controller box can be connected either to a MOZA Base or directly to a PC via the USB cable supplied. MOZA itself recommends connecting it directly to the PC for optimal use. The plastic box features ports for three vibration motors, weighs just a few grams itself and can be attached to the rig, for example beneath the pedal tray, using the double-sided adhesive tape supplied.
The motor used is an ERM (Eccentric Rotating Mass) motor with a manufacturer’s specified frequency of 100 Hz. This relies on an eccentrically positioned mass to generate vibrations. This type of motor does not match the fine resolution of high-quality bass shakers, which offer finer resolution and react slightly faster. The motor, housed in a simple yet stylish plastic casing, is nevertheless very well suited to its intended purpose, particularly on the throttle pedal or the clutch. It responds relatively quickly and is certainly capable of generating powerful vibrations (see the video at the bottom of the review)
In testing (fitted to a CRP-2 throttle pedal in combination with an mBooster brake pedal), the vibration motor proved to be a valuable addition to the mBooster pedal. By simulating the activation of traction control or wheel spin in vehicles without TC, the module adds value without breaking the bank. The intensity is high enough to make the effects clearly noticeable even when wearing shoes, and the response time is also good.



Installation and compatibility
As previously mentioned, the vibration motors are designed to work in harmony with MOZA’s pedals. To complement this, MOZA includes a universal bracket that can be used with the following models:

Thanks to the freely accessible threads on the underside of the modules, they can also be used on other pedals by using custom-made adaptors. To do this, you simply need to use suitable adaptors, for example by 3D printing them.


Software
Here, too, the MOZA Pit House software is used, which now features a dedicated menu item for the new vibration modules. This is where the individual effects can be activated and adjusted. Both the intensity and the frequency can be set individually. There are also further specific setting options for certain effects, such as the Brake Threshold Vibration or the Engine Vibration. The software has a simple structure and is very easy to understand; combined with the straightforward installation, this results in a plug-and-play system that requires little thought on the part of the user. This is further enhanced by the fact that MOZA supports almost all currently available racing simulations.

Video Impression
Vibrations are difficult to capture on camera. That’s why you’ll find a video here of a free-standing pedal on a wooden surface (desk). First, you can see various gentle vibrations, followed by a Gear vibration set to 80 per cent intensity.
Conclusion
The MOZA Racing Pedal Haptic Feedback Kit successfully bridges the gap between entry-level pedals without vibration motors and high-end active pedals, offering a noticeable boost to immersion. Although the built-in ERM motors do not quite match the fine resolution of more expensive bass shakers, they still impress with their relatively fast response and powerful vibrations, which are still clearly noticeable even when wearing shoes. Thanks to the included mounts, the system can be easily fitted to many standard MOZA pedals. It also offers flexibility for third-party manufacturers via custom adapter solutions. Integration via the easy-to-use Pit House software is a plug-and-play experience, allowing effects such as ABS, traction control or wheel spin to be customised with just a few clicks. With a fair price of 49 euros for the basic kit and 25 euros for each additional module, MOZA offers a well-designed yet comparatively affordable upgrade.
