VRS Discontinues Production of the (u) DirectForce Pro 20 Wheel Bases

Sim racing manufacturer VRS announced today the end of an era. Production of the two Direct Force Pro Base models (uDFP20 Wheel Base and DFP20 Wheel Base) has been discontinued. From now on, only remaining stock will be available in the store.

The VRS DirectForce Pro Wheelbase, in particular, has been a staple of the VRS lineup for years. It’s well-known in the community for its industrial look, complete with an external controller box, and has impressed users with its driving performance. Last year, the “U” variant of the Base was released, a version that could be operated using unlock codes ranging from 6 to 20 Nm. But that’s now over, as production has officially been discontinued and only remaining stock is currently being sold through the online store.

According to the manufacturer, the discontinuation of the VRS DirectForce Pro 20Nm Wheel Base will not result in any restrictions for current owners. Full ongoing support for the devices is guaranteed:

• Full coverage during the respective warranty period
• Continuation of the usual customer service
• Ongoing provision of firmware support
• Permanent availability of torque unlock codes

After many years, thousands of rigs and countless hours on track, the VRS (u)DirectForce Pro 20Nm Wheel Base is reaching the end of its production life. What is on the shelf is the last of it. To everyone who drove one: THANK YOU. This wheel base is the reason VRS is what it is today. Support does not stop. Every owner (old or new) stays fully covered for their warranty period, with the same service and firmware support as always, and torque unlock codes are not going anywhere.
