Logitech G RS H-SHIFTER now available

The new Logitech shifter is now available. For around 160 euros, you get an ABS H-shifter with a metal gear gate and a total of 8 gears (7+R). It is compatible with PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.

The Shifter in detail

Compared to the previous shifter (Logitech G Driving Force), Logitech’s new shifter has a much more solid build and is also larger in size. Gear shifts are detected contactlessly via Hall sensors. Between 7th gear and the reverse gear, Logitech has implemented a push-through lock to prevent the reverse gear from being engaged accidentally.

A table clamp is included for mounting, offering two mounting positions for the H-shifter. Additionally, the shifter can be attached to the cockpit of your choice using your own mounting solutions via the threads on the back or underside.

Compatibility

The Logitech G-RS H-Shifter is one of the few shifters that can also be used with a console. It is compatible with the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One consoles, as well as with PCs. To use it, it must be connected either directly to Logitech’s compatible Pro Base or via the Racing Adapter. However, the Racing Adapter only has a single USB port, which means the shifter cannot be used in combination with other hardware (such as the RS Shifter and handbrake). On a PC, however, the H-Shifter connects via a standard USB cable and can be used without any restrictions.

The shift knob can be replaced with aftermarket models thanks to its standard M8 thread.

Scope of delivery

As is typical of Logotech, the package contents are very generous and, in addition to the shifter and the mount mentioned above, also include mounting hardware and tools.
