Heusinkveld DisplayDash unveiled

Dutch manufacturer Heusinkveld unveiled a new product at this year’s Sim Formula Europe in Maastricht. The DisplayDash combines a large display with control options and is expected to go on sale later this year for around €300.

Features

The new DisplayDash has a wide range of features. The encoders with additional push function mounted above the display are each housed in their own PCBs, which extend over the display like a bridge. The advantage of this is obvious. Dynamic labelling of functions and additional diagrams allow for extremely high customisability by the user. This is made possible by the SimHub integration that Heusinkveld promises for the new DisplayDash. On the back, there are two usable USB ports and mounts for the standard 100×100 VESA mount. All you need to get started is a USB cable.

  • Access dozens of in-car functions at your fingertips
  • Always know what the inputs mean, thanks to the digital display and configurable RGB leds
  • Dynamically add context to 12 push-rotaries, 4 push buttons and a 7 way-switch
  • Static labels or stickers are no longer needed, as current values & key settings are displayed directly above each control for immediate visibility
  • Compatible with SimHub
  • Additional digital dashboard space at the top, to run commonly supported visual dashboards
  • Entire display is touchscreen
  • No HDMI/DP required, only 1 single USB-cable
  • Mounting via 100×100 VESA
  • 2-port USB hub on the back
  • Pricing: approximately €300
  • Dimensions: approximately 265 x 150mm

Price and availability

According to the manufacturer, the new DisplayDash is set to go on sale this spring with a retail price of around €300. The model on display at the trade fair is a prototype, and its materials and LED diffusers are not yet finalised.
