LEGO Ideas Sim Racing Steering Wheel
Sim racing is becoming increasingly popular and versatile. About a month ago, user Vince_GT submitted a project to the LEGO Ideas platform that depicts a replica of a sim racing steering wheel. Users now have the opportunity to support it in the hope that it will become an official LEGO set.

About LEGO Ideas
On LEGO Ideas, an online platform from Lego, fans can suggest their own building projects and get support from the community. Users upload detailed models with pictures, descriptions and parts lists. A project first needs 100 supporters within 60 days to be extended. Then it needs 1,000 supporters for another six months and finally 10,000 votes to enter the evaluation phase.
In the final phase, a LEGO team then checks the feasibility, marketability, originality and compliance with guidelines, for example that no violence or political content is depicted.
If the project meets all the criteria, with a bit of luck it will be produced as an official LEGO set.
The project
The LEGO Ideas project depicts a typical 1:1 scale sim racing wheel with its characteristic features such as buttons, a screen and rotary controls. It also has various features such as movable paddle shifters and clutches, as well as a screen that can be customised with different designs. If you would like to support the project, you can do so with an account at LEGO Ideas. Maybe we’ll soon be able to recreate a sim racing steering wheel as an official LEGO set!

Below you will find the creator’s words about the project:
I’ve always loved high-speed racing and LEGO builds.
After collecting many racing-themed sets, I want to create something more interactive — a racing steering wheel that I can actually play with!
Inspired by real motorsport technology, this LEGO version features functional knobs, joystick, movable gearshift and clutch paddles, and a customizable display panel that can be swapped for different designs.
It’s designed at a 1:1 scale, so it can actually be held in your hands.
My goal was to capture the excitement of racing in a compact, hands-on LEGO build.
This is my first original project, and I’d love to keep improving it based on your feedback.
