Fanatec CSL Steering Wheel GT3 unveiled as successor to the legendary McLaren Wheel

Fanatec recently discontinued one of its most popular steering wheels, the CSL Elite Steering Wheel McLaren GT3 V2. Today’s presentation also revealed the reason for this: The Fanatec CSL Steering Wheel GT3 replaces the old wheel with McLaren branding almost one-to-one and is available at the same price as its predecessor.

Price and ordering

The new Fanatec CSL Steering Wheel GT3 is currently available directly from Fanatec at a price of 199.95 euros including shipping. This puts it back at the price level of the CSL Elite Steering Wheel McLaren GT3 V2 Wheels before the price adjustment in the middle of the year to 219.95 euros. The current availability date is from 20 to 23 October.

Well-known hardware without McLaren licence

Experienced Fanatec users will immediately notice the one-to-one design of the old McLaren Wheel. The 300 millimetre steering wheel is equipped with a striking, continuous magnetic shifter paddle and two analogue paddles on the back. We also find the familiar design at the front. In addition to the one-inch OLED display, there are further buttons, a funky switch, rotary controls and switches.
