Fanatec removes torque limit for various CSL wheels with QR2 Lite
Fanatec has surprisingly decided to remove the torque limit on various CSL wheels in conjunction with the QR2 Lite. The steering wheels can use the full torque of up to 25 Newton meters with the new driver (version 467) and the matching wheel base from Fanatec.

Compatible CSL Wheels
After Fanatec’s internal load tests proved that the QR2 Lite can withstand 25 Newton meters of torque, the manufacturer has decided to no longer produce the QR with the limiting torque detection. In addition, the torque will also be enabled for existing CSL wheels with QR2 Lite via firmware updates in the latest driver. The following steering wheels will benefit from up to 25 Nm torque:
- CSL Elite Steering Wheel McLaren GT3
- CSL Elite Steering Wheel McLaren GT3 V2
- ClubSport Steering Wheel F1® Esports V2
- CSL Universal Hub
- CSL Universal Hub V2
However, the following wheels are not designed for high torques and therefore remain limited:
- CSL Elite Steering Wheel WRC
- CSL Steering Wheel P1 V2
- CSL Steering Wheel BMW
- Steering Wheel for Gran Turismo® DD Pro
