DIY Project: Driver letters for aluminium profiles (sim rigs)

After the almost identical mini-project for the driver numbers, it’s now the turn of the letters. If you want to decorate your rig with your initials, you’ll find them here.

Materials

No tools or other materials are required for this small project either. Only the appropriate filament depending on the rig (black, white or the colour of your choice) is required in very small quantities. The amount required varies slightly per letter and averages around 5 grams.

3D printing

Printing is possible without any additional support structures or special settings. The first layer also poses no challenge due to the relatively simple shape of the individual letters. You can find the .STL-files here:

Mounting

The letters can simply be inserted into the slots of aluminium profiles. Depending on the design of the rig, only the end cap needs to be removed. The letters then hold themselves in position, but can still be moved by hand.
