MOZA Racing CM2 HD Racing Dash – Review
MOZA Racing is gradually renewing its portfolio and, in contrast to its predecessor, is now giving the CM2 HD Racing Dash additional RGB LEDs, an optional USB-C port and, for the first time, the option to create your own dashboard designs.

Ordering and shipping
The CM2 HD Racing Dash from MOZA Racing can currently be ordered via the manufacturer’s own online shop at a price of €219 plus shipping. For customers from the EU, taxes or customs duties may be added. At the time of the test report, MOZA stated a delivery time of two to three weeks.
The product tested here was provided by the manufacturer. No influence was exerted on this review at any time.
Scope of delivery
In addition to the dashboard itself and the bracket, MOZA also supplies the appropriate cables for connection to the base or PC. Tools in the form of an Allen key and double-sided adhesive tape are also included.

Compatibility
The CM2 HD Racing Dash is only intended for operation on a PC in conjunction with the MOZA Pit House software. The dashboard can be operated in two different ways:
- RJ11 port: For operation on a MOZA base with a corresponding port, the dashboard can be connected directly to the base using the cable supplied. The power supply and data transfer then take place directly via the base.
- USB-C port: As an alternative to the RJ11 port, the CM2 HD Racing Dash also offers a normal USB-C port. This can be used to connect the dashboard directly to the PC (USB-C to USB-A cable included) and operate it.
Mounting
If the dashboard is operated on an R3, R5, R9 or R12 base, it can be screwed directly to the base using the bracket supplied. The appropriate M3 screws are included for this and the dashboard can then be fastened in four different positions using the thumb screws and thus adjusted in height.
Alternatively, MOZA also includes double-sided adhesive tape so that the dashboard can be attached to a different wheel base. In this case, however, it is better to think about a self-constructed bracket.

Features
The CM2 HD Racing Dash is housed in an elegant aluminium casing (approx. 148 x 92 x 27 millimetres), which is anodised in black and has a very clean finish. On the front, both the display and the LEDs in combination with a white MOZA logo are very cleanly and seamlessly framed. The following functions have been integrated:
Bildschirm
The centrepiece of every simracing dashboard is, of course, the built-in display. MOZA has opted for a 5-inch display that is operated at 60 Hz. The selected resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels is surprising, as it is unusually high. In combination with the large adjustable brightness range and the clean edge, this ensures an extremely sharp and attractive image that stands out slightly from the widespread dashboards with VoCore screens.
Together with the integrated capacitive touchscreen, the display does an excellent job.

LEDs
In contrast to its predecessor, the CM2 HD Racing Dash now has a total of 16 RGB LEDs arranged around the display, which can perform various tasks and are probably the most compelling reason for owners of the first version of the dashboard to upgrade.
The following LEDs are installed in total:
- 10 RPM-LEDs: There are 10 LEDs above the display that indicate the optimum time to change gears.
- 2 x 3 Telemetry-LEDs: In addition, there are three further LEDs to the right and left of the display that can show the following telemetry data:
- Wheel Spin
- Pitlane
- Pit Limiter
- ABS
- TC
- DRS
- Flags
The LEDs light up very evenly and can be individually adjusted in terms of brightness and colour. In addition to the option of customising the dashboard, this is probably the greatest added value compared to the previous model.

Software
Like its predecessor, the CM2 HD Racing Dash is again controlled via the MOZA software called Pit House. This is where the various settings relating to RPM profiles and the like can be made, colours defined and various dashboards selected. Profiles can also be exported and imported.

Dash-Editor
A new feature is the dash editor, which can now be used for a MOZA dashboard for the first time. It is now possible to create your own dashboard designs or edit existing ones. It is clearly based on the popular simracing software SimHub, but does not yet come close to it in terms of user-friendliness and the number of dashboard designs already created. Conclusion
The CM2 HD Racing Dash is a successful evolution of its predecessor and offers the option of creating your own dashboard designs for the first time. It features a good, high-resolution display and a high-quality aluminium housing. For users who prefer a plug & play option within the MOZA Racing ecosystem and own a base from the R3 to R12 series, it is currently by far the best option.
Thanks to the additional USB-C connection, the CM2 HD Racing Dash is also an alternative for non-MOZA users, although the currently still small number of available dashboard designs compared to the competition must be taken into account.

- 5-inch 720p display with 60 Hz
- Aluminium housing
