Logitech G PRO Racing Wheel and PRO Racing Pedals
Logitech announced new products from various sectors during today’s event on Twitch (link to channel). For us sim racers, the new steering wheel set and pedals are of great interest, of course.
Direct Drive Base with 11 NM for PC, PlayStation and Xbox
Logitech is going to release the new Logitech G PRO Racing Wheel, which is the first set based on the direct drive principle. This is now the dominant standard on the simracing market and brings advantages in terms of power, directness and also the noise of the force feedback. So after many years of gear drive, Logitech is now a serious contender beyond the entry-level market. Particularly interesting for console gamers should also be the compatibility with (depending on the version) Xbox or PlayStation.
For the first time, there will also be a steering wheel with a quick-release, which will consequently be removable. The included model has a diameter of 30 centimeters and weighs about 1.5 kilos. In addition to magnetic shifters (also a premiere), a dual-clutch is also installed here for the first time.
The recommended retail price of the set is €1,099.
The first Loadcell pedals from Logitech
Suitable for a direct drive base, corresponding load cell pedals should not be missing in the lineup. Logitech also attacks here and shows pedals developed according to this principle for the first time with the PRO Racing Pedals.
The recommended retail price of the pedals is 389€.
