Alpakka 2 Gyro-to-Mouse Controller – Crowdfunding-Kampange bei Indiegogo gestartet
Heute wurde bei Indiegogo ein für Simracer sehr interessantes Projekt vorgestellt. Mit dem Alpakka 2 Gyro-to-Mouse-Controller bringt der Hersteller Input Labs sein erstes kommerzielles Produkt auf den Markt. Es verfügt über verschiedene Eigenschaften, die es insbesondere für Simracer interessant machen könnten.
Alpakka 2 Gyro-to-mouse Controller
Der neue Controller stellt eine deutliche Weiterentwicklung gegenüber der ersten Variante dar, die wir in diesem Blog bereits ausführlich vorgestellt haben: DIY-Projekt: Alpakka-Controller von Input Labs (Test / Vorstellung). Neu sind unter anderem das OLED-Display und die Möglichkeit, den Controller sowohl mit (~0,5 ms Latenz) als auch ohne Kabel zu betreiben. Für Simracer besonders attraktiv ist der Controller durch die vier integrierten Gyro-Sensoren, die als Verbund arbeiten und eine deutlich präzisere Steuerung ermöglichen. Damit wird er, wie bereits die erste Version des Controllers, zu einer echten Alternative für Simracer, die auf Reisen oder ohne die Möglichkeit sind, reguläre Hardware zu verwenden.

DIY oder Pro
Im Gegensatz zum Alpakka 1 Controller gibt es die neue Version nun in zwei Varianten:
- DIY: In der DIY-Version kann der Controller weiterhin in Eigenregie gebaut werden. Hierzu druckt man das Gehäuse selbst (die STL-Dateien werden zur Verfügung gestellt) und installiert das fertige PCB sowie das Core-Modul darin. Zusätzlich benötigt man noch eine Batterie.

- Pro: Neu ist jetzt die Pro-Variante des Alpakka-2-Controllers. Er wird als fertiges Produkt an Endkunden verkauft und ist mit einem hochwertigeren Gehäuse ausgestattet, das im Spritzgussverfahren gefertigt wurde.
Preise und Verfügbarkeit
Für die Finanzierung des neuen Controller-Projekts geht Input Labs den Weg über die Crowdfunding-Plattform Indiegogo. Dort können Interessierte den Controller ab sofort in verschiedenen Versionen und Bundles vorbestellen. Mit einer Auslieferung rechnet Input Labs für das Ende des Jahres. Käufer müssen sich dabei jedoch immer der Risiken einer solchen Finanzierung bewusst sein.
